2 Weeks in Italy

As mentioned in the previous post, this summer I spent 12 days train travelling Italy and I thought I would do a further breakdown of where we went. So without further ado... To begin our trip we flew from London Heathrow to Milan which became our base for the next 4 days. The flight is only 2.5 hours long making it nice and easy. As we arrived fairly late and were staying further out from the centre we had just about enough time to see Milan's Duomo before grabbing a slice of pizza and heading back to the hotel. On our first full day we then went to Lake Como. Varenna is an easy 1 hour train ride from Milan and we then caught the 15 minute ferry over to Bellagio which only cost 9 euros return ticket. We were only here for a day however we have decided we already wish to return for a couple of nights! The next day we then visited Turin which is roughly 1.5 hours from Milan easily reached by train.
